The founders spent months working with mastering engineers and audiologists who all said the same thing: drivers had gotten better, firmware had gotten worse, and nothing was built to last more than a warranty period.

The first prototype was an over-ear pair, soldered on a kitchen table. The brief was one sentence: keep the signal honest from the first millimetre of air to the eardrum. Today Audeon makes a small number of things, carefully, and stands behind each one for the next eight years.
